Salon Platinum Celebrates 10 years in Aliso Viejo
with a Fundraiser to Benefit Wigs for Kids
Saturday, Nov 18, 2006 Event begins at 7pm~ Open
house
In 1997 Salon Platinum Co-owners Jeff and Diane
Wacker had big dreams and little money. Today we are
one of the largest salons in the O.C. encompassing
an in-house photography studio, Studio.Suites for
beauty industry professionals and a travel agency.
As beauty professionals we saw a need and an
opportunity to make a difference by raising funds to
provide hair replacement systems to children who
have suffered both physically and emotionally from
loss of hair as a result of medical treatments,
health conditions or burn accidents.

The Event Program includes a Hair/Fashion showing,
photo shoot for Celebrity Fashion Designer Maggie
Barry, an Art showing, with artists Robert
Hutchinson (
www.robhutch.com)and
Craig Boyd aka "Fuzz" from New Zealand. With demos
of specialty skin care and hair care services and a
Silent Auction. A percentage of art & retail sales
from clothing, hair/skincare products, and jewelry
will go toward the fundraiser as well.
Invitees include local business owners/managers,
salon clientele, celebrity VIPs, the salon owners,
stylists, aestheticians, assistants, family and
friends. Celebrity Fashion photographer David C. Lee
will be capturing the moments.
Sponsors include professional beauty companies,
Maly's, Alterna, PureOlogy, Germaine de Cappucini.
Generous donations provided by local businesses,
Lowes, Mimi's cafe, Starbucks to name a few. The
evening will include music, mingling, heor deurves
and cocktails.
We will continue our fundraising efforts as a
Wigs for Kids Ambassador Salon. Look for the
Wigs for Kids decal on our door welcoming clients to
donate their hair in exchange for a free haircut
provided by us.
